From the Middle — Chapter 4: Anno 1623, Second Part — Cushman's Letter and the Particulars
WILLIAM BRADFORD
Robert Cushman writes from London: no supply has been made to the colony all this while, people press to come far faster than money comes in, and he urges them to write earnestly to the Treasurer directing what persons should be sent — for their danger, he warns, lies in corrupt and naughty persons. The adventurers' general letter follows, and the chapter closes with the particulars and the ill-starred pinnace.

This is the public-domain text of William Bradford's Of Plymouth Plantation (Project Gutenberg transcription #24950), presented as a talking hologram book, with all modern editorial matter removed and Bradford's spelling untouched. The narration is a performed reading of that public-domain text, made for this edition. No portrait of Bradford painted from life survives, and the book says so plainly in its disclaimer, which stands first, before the book begins. Editor: Franklin Langston.
